Families with children aged 7+ can follow a trail around six activity and information stops hidden around the Minster which help to explain and invite reflection on the Easter story and to think about what it means to your life today.

For younger children aged 3+, there will be Easter-themed Explorer Backpacks available.

Both activities are available throughout the Easter holidays from 4-23 April and are included with your standard admission charge.* Collect your trails and backpacks from the admissions desks.

Other family activities during the Easter holidays include:

  • Easter craft activities at our pop-up Wednesday workshops on 12 and 19 April. Create an Easter chick keyring or a felt flower in the inspiring surroundings of York Minster's Chapter House.
  • Family Discovery Tours - discover fun facts like 'how many blue whales can fit inside the Minster?' during our free guided tours for families which take place from 11-13 and 18-20 April.

*Admission tickets last for 12 months. Family 12-month ticket from £10 (valid for up to 4 children visiting the Minster with 1 adult). FREE admission to Minster for York residents with proof of ID or a York card
